
Regular Chat Commands
You may use the manual commands to communicate to others and instruct the chat
to do certain things.
commands must have a / in front of each line.
/msg nick message - private message another user in a private chat screen.
(example: /msg joeblow hello) You may also simply double click on someone's
nickname.
/notice nick message - send a private message to another person in their room.
(example: /notice joeblow hello)
/part #room message - put a message when you leave a room. (example: /part #help
I will be back)
/quit message - put a message in your quit. (example: /quit be back tomorrow)
/services register nick - register your nickname with this command or double
click it on the room list. (example: /services register joeblow password here)
/services drop nick - drop your nickname by this command or double click it on
the room list. (example: /services drop joeblow)
If your nickname is ghosted (still there even after you've disconnected and came back) Type /services ghost nick password
Registering your Free Chatroom
Be sure that your nickname is registered first (see above)
Enter the room you want to register by typing /join roomname
Double click in the room.
A page will pop up asking for the information the server needs to register the room.
If a room name that you want is already taken
you will have to select another roomname. We will NOT drop rooms just because
you want it.
Channel Operator and Mode Commands
Channel operators (also known as mod's or moderator's) control the channel they
are on. They will be blue on each rooms list. The mods are in charge of running
the room. There are two ways to become a channel operator. First is by creating
your own chatroom. (see above) When you do this, the server sets you as the
channel mod. The second way is to be selected by the room owner. It's a very
good idea to NOT ask for moderator status, doing so just makes you seem like a
pest. Your best chance is to let the room owner notice that you are able to
greet people that join the room and interact well with the other chatters. Room
owners like having courteous people manage their rooms.
Channel operators maintain control of the channel through the use of channel
mode commands. These are commands that only channel operators have access to,
and can be used to perform various functions on the channel.

/kick #room nickname reason - kicks them out of your room. (example: /kick #help
joeblow flooder)
/ban nickname - ban a nick by their nick from the channel. They can't join your
channel on that nickname. (example: /ban joeblow)
/services aop #room add nick - add a moderator to your permanent auto op list.
Whenever they join it will make them an op instantly. (example: /services aop
#help add joeblow) This can also be done by double clicking in the room and
selecting the proper tab.
/services aop #room del nick - delete a mod from your room list. (example:
/services aop #help del joeblow) This can also be done by double clicking in the
room and selecting the proper tab.
/services sop #room add nick - add another owner to your room list. Whenever
they join it will make them an op instantly and give them the option to add
other ops. (example: /services sop #help add joeblow) This can also be done by
double clicking in the room and selecting the proper tab.
/services sop #room del nick - delete another owner from your room list.
(example: /services sop #help del joeblow) This can also be done by double
clicking in the room and selecting the proper tab.
Changing Text Color in the Chatroom
There are two steps to writing in colors. First, when in a chat room, you must
press Ctrl and K at the same time on your keyboard, so a small box appears in
your typing area. Each color is associated with a number, and you need to type
the number corresponding to the color you want.

So if you wanted to write, Hi JoeBlow in red, here's what you would do. Hit Ctrl
+ K, then type the number 4, then type, Hi everyone! and hit enter.
Here's what you would type: 4Hi JoeBlow
Here's how it would look: Hi JoeBlow
Do NOT use a space between the 4 and hi.
If you want to add a background color to your text, after your number, simply
add a comma, then the number of the color you want for your background. No
spaces are needed.
Here's what you would type: 4,15Hi JoeBlow
It would appear like this:

Adding Color to your Room Greeting
If you have a registered chatroom and want your room greeting colored, all you
need to do is type the small color code (box) into the chatroom but don't hit
the enter key, then copy it ... then double click in the middle of your chatroom
and a room settings box will pop up. Simply paste the (box) into the room
greeting area and use the numbers for the colors you want and type in for
example "Welcome to JoeBlows Room". Refer to color instructions above.
